I had jury duty in downtown SanTana yesterday, so I hit up a mexican cafe up there that I had been meaning to try since I worked up there five years ago. But, I had a torta for Torta Tuesday. It was bomb diggity.

La Mexicana in Kings Beach, North Lake Tahoe. Had the carne asada plate.
The meat was so tender, I was able to tear it into strips without a knife, and since they served it with corn tortillas BOOM, instant tacos.
Sometimes the smallest places off the beaten path have the best food.
