I'm not a fan of Scotch Whisky either, or the taste of Peat.
I prefer Whiskey, which is the American version, aka bourbon. Lots if iterations to try, and many are quite good.

If you notice, you mention Whisky, the poem mentions Whiskey. Not really the same thing, as in IPA and Lager are both beers, but...
 
Being a Mountain Man I should be drinking this, but we use it as a polar protic solvent for absorption of medications.
I used WD40 for minor aches and pains a loong time ago.

Ha! Since I can still get Old Grand-Dad 114 for about $23, and Benchmark Full Proof for about $18, I'll stick with those for bargain high-proof spirits that actually taste like something. YMMV, since whiskey availability and pricing varies wildly by brand and region.

My dad drank Old Grand-Dad. Thankfully, I never developed a taste for whiskey

Tried this on my brother’s birthday over at Barro Santos. Clean, crisp, balanced with just a slight hop bite.

Trying this tonight. Even though I didn’t ride, but, it wasn’t my fault. I waited around all day for my wife to get ready so we could pick up her car from last night’s holiday party.
It’s also very balanced, not a ton of hopiness, doesn’t feel as IPA-y as other 7% IPAs.

I have found that beers in green bottles are usually skunky - at least in aroma if not taste. From Rolling Rock to Stella to Heineken.

Stella on tap is amazing - in its green bottle, I think I'd rather drink an IPA from a can!

Cool, glad you gave it a try! I'm not a huge lager person as they always seem to taste the same, but Skyduster was amazing on tap! I saw they have that IPA offering, so am on the lookout for that!

After being more of a beer proof-hound (big IPAs, Belgians, Imperial Stouts, Barleywines, and other Strong Ales of all sorts) for quite some time, I do find myself gravitating to lagers, particularly really good pilsners these days for a change of pace. Seems like lagers/pilsners are the go-to pour for almost all serious craft brewers, and therefore, there are some really good ones coming on the market recently. I've mentioned it in the past in this thread, but Solero Golden Pilsner from American Solera in Tulsa, OK is a lager/pilsner that I think could change many beer afficionado's minds about this style. It's that good.

The Pasadena Total wine had the IPAs and the lager, so, maybe other total wine locations do as well.
