XL NINER WFO

Been on this bike for about a month now and look forward to riding every time. Initially the top tube felt a bit short but with the wide bars and short stem the fit is just right. I am finding the stretched out feeling I used to ride was a bit uncomfortable. With pike 160 up front and upgraded cane creek dbl brl 150 in the rear this thing lands like a cat. This bike feels much more controllable while in the air. My jumping has gotten so much better. With the low center and short wheelbase this bike handles more like a 26r than any other 29r I have ridden to date. The one thing I did not anticipate is how good this bike climbs. There is a bit of anti squat that makes standing up in any gear a pleasure. At 13.4 bbh I have yet to get a pedal strike climbing the chunky stuff, much to my liking. With dropper post, nextie fattie hope2 carbon wheels, 2.4 maxsis ardents , xx1 cranks it weighs in at 30.6 lbs. Very playful bike. The Cane Creek Dbl Barrel air xv cs is a fantastic shock.
Try one.

When I demoed the WFO I likened it to a two wheeled monster truck. It climbed great and rolled over everything on the DH.

If you like the 2.4 Ardents I have a couple that I don't use that you are welcome to for a very small fee.

Glad to hear you're stoked about your WFO. I'd have to agree the short top tube sounds weary at first but after riding it , it feels like a nimble monster truck. I demoed the WFO9 twice before making a decision to buy. Once was at OTH where I got by best finish of the season. The other was at the Floop hitting all the extra credit stuff. I could tell the bike was just laughing at me and saying "give me more". I even rode it up a flight of stairs. Light, fast, strong and comfortable. Point it down and hold on, big wheels and 6" travel gets me moving. Other than the stock Stan's 330 hub bearing failure, the bike has held up well for the year and a half I've had it. Jumps and drops ( Floop, Oaks, Sycamore, SS) are extremely fun. 29.3 lbs with Red Monkey grips, direct mount chainring, titanium seat rails, XTR pedals, KS dropper. I dig this bike.

@Tom the Bomb - but do you like it? :inlove::inlove:

Cool to hear. I know that if I rode one I would feel like I was cheating. Sounds like that's your take on it as well. Great up, great down, fast, smooth - rolls over everything. Look out KOMs, PRs and smile meters!
