im just about to cross the boarder to tj so ill be ofline a couple hours and will apreciate any info about this bike for those who ride-9er and those who have tried one !! thank you

I rode one a while back....I have a Tallboy Carbon, and a buddy has one of these. So we swapped bikes for a Luge loop. Thought it was gonna be more trail bike than it was. Even with the extra travel over my TB, it didn't seem as plush.

It climbed well, again...not as nice as my TB. I pushed it as hard on the Luge as I would the TB, but just didn't feel as nice.

The bike you have posted above is also gonna be on the portly side by today's standards. The one I rode was built up much nicer than that with a 3x drivetrain, and it was 29 lbs.

Older frames had issues with cracking at the rear end, but that was when they were 135x12. The newer frames seem a bit more solid.

The price is not bad, but at one time they were blowing frames out for around $1k

Niners are nice bikes for sure. Another buddy has a RIP RDO and loves it.
