What are your 2015 riding goals

What are your 2015 riding goals if you have them share them?
1. Ride 3,000 dirt miles and 260,000 elevation gain for the year.
2. Ride in 5 different states. (I got 3 this year)
3. Get in a 60 mile ride. (I cramp over 40 miles have to work up to the mileage)
4. Get out to some of the rides posted up on the site that are not in my normal route.
5. Have fun riding and meeting new faces.

I set my goals pretty high for 2014....it's gonna take some even bigger riding to bypass what was done this year.

For 2015:

1. 1,250,000' of climbing (I'll finish 2014 @ 950,000)

2. Do 5 mtn bike centuries

3. Drop 30 minutes off my VQ time

4. Not get injured

5. Road trip to some new dirt

This may all go down the toilet with some possible medical issues that may take some chunks of time out of my riding.

I'm a little disappointed in my total mileage this year. So, for 2015:

Minimum 4000 miles between MTB and road
Finish Counting Coup
Do a six-hour race solo
Hit fresh dirt in a new state (It was Utah in 2014, Oregon is likely for next year)
Ride some areas in SoCal that I have somehow not yet hit.

Total mileage aside, 2014 has been a pretty good year. I've probably done more climbing this year. I've also ridden some new places (Park City, Northern California) and did two IMBA epics. Can't wait to see what the New Year brings!

Another great topic...

For me... I want to complete a couple road centuries with my oldest son. That's a blast. Even more so when he's riding a road bike I rode in the 80s. Crazy...

On dirt, I want to do several of the bigger rides: Rwanda, Catalina, and Julian... Maybe more.

My ultimate goal this year is to have a 10,000 ft. elevation ride. I've come close... A little over 9,000 at 56 miles, but I've never broken 10,000 ft.

Ride a lot
Have fun riding a lot
Get stronger than I am now
Bag some new challenging trails (Fully Loop - here I come!)
Get better at jumping
Stay uninjured

Those last two are at odds with each other...

Yikes! Over a million feet of climbing? I will be happy with over 1,000 miles and 100,000 vertical feet.

I also want to ride to the top of saddleback peak from Whiting Ranch.

I'll be happy if I get in shape enough that I don't always need to put in a "This will be a slow paced ride" disclaimer with every ride I try to set up.

Under 5 minutes up Cholla would be nice... However, I just realized that a 34T front sprocket and a 40T rear sprocket isn't that typical for a 1x11. That combined with my really weak lower body makes for some heavy pedaling.

Podium at the Southridge (Fontana) Winter Series. I'll be in "Old Hag" (DH Sport) class.

Mark my words, after one race you will be bored with Sport and will move to Expert. You love the steep chunky stuff!

get to ride more
get more stronger
get to know new peeps
get to ride at least once with mikie and crew on those nice trails the have up there

I'd like to start hitting some jumps
Work less overtime...so I can ride more. I want to hit 1000 miles.
Ride new trails.. A lot of them!
Ride another fixed gear century.
And of course.. Have fun while doing it!

Non bike related... I'd like to run and complete my first full marathon.

As of late it would be to find my bike in the garage . . . it's been 4 weeks since I rode due to weather and my stoopid job...

The last two years I've averaged 1,100 miles and 110K and that works out well with the family. I'm picking up a cross bike tonight and if we mesh I'd like to try the Chino Grinder in May and maybe the Rebecca's Private Idaho in August/September. I also want to do some more exploring in Big Bear and Tahoe. The miles will just fall in place.

Have fun!

5000 miles (road and dirt combine).
500K vertical
Finish CC, Rwanda, Catalina,3-5 Road centuries.
Race OC parks and OTH (Clydesdale).
Loose the last 10 lbs. (get to 200lbs.)
Test ride new bike configuration (Hard tail, SS, 27.5AM, Magnesium, ect.)
Travel and find new dirt!

Have FUN!!!

Yikes, 4 weeks would make me go postal on somebody. Sometimes the whole working for a living thing can be WAY overrated...Sorry Mikie

Hold a wheelie for longer than 5 seconds consistently
Bunnyhop a 2' x 2' object consistently
Nose wheelie consistently for at least 2 secs

More climbing. Only logged 130k this year on GPS. I guess I moonshot this and go for 500k

Hah! I was thinking the same thing!

Work on my wheelies
Kick my back wheel out on switchbacks to change direction
Work on adding some distance on my jumps

And because herzalot is the new self appointed imtb fashion police, actually getting some baggies :o and some industrial riding shirts  . I guess it's time to catch up with 2015!

Just to ride which I am not able to go now because of a bike injury. Going to Sedona this week to see how much I can ride.

1. Find new trails.
2. Expand my comfort zone; climbing, descending, technical, speed, suffering, pucker-factor...
3. Try to do a ride or two that cause people to question my sanity.
4. This year, make it to the top of the Breathless Agony ride before descending 100% of SART. Got to the top of Seven Oaks road last year where most people start and day lighted to 38 at Loch Leven. This year want to pick up SART at Heart Bar and finish doing the Hellride Route.
5. Everything else that comes with those four adds miles, time, elevation, and Endurance race results.

It's about the journey, not the destination.

Happy trails!

I didn't see this until you mentioned it in the baggies thread (pardon the double entendre). I am both flattered and proud that you would alter your plans to include the self-appointed fashion policeman's recommendations. Now go ride dammit!

My 2015 goals are:

To ride more, work, family and school get in the way most of the time, but will find more time to do so.
Do more events (Keysville, OTH LA, Catalina Island GF, Etc)
To have my kids participate more in cycling.
Do trail work, so I can help preserve the trails we have.

Did 300k+ MTB only in 2014...back in mid Oct too so I took the past 3 months off and focusing in on the gym.

2015 Goal: 400k+ MTB only
