I have been spending a lot of time on my local trail lately trying to keep it ridable, especially with all the rain, it’s prime for riding.
As an added bonus to my trail work the fire department is holding training sessions which have been taking place for 3 days solid with what I believe is DC-10 water drops, there are two planes flying for 10 hours each day and it happens to be in the area of my trail. I got to see numerous drops some good, and some not so good. I can see this takes a tremendous amount of skill! And the practice conditions were optimal, little wind no smoke and a familiar flight path.
I can’t imagine how much money this must cost in gas? I’m not sure if they are even done yet?
I would estimate each plane circled Acton 100 times!
