Unsafe bike racks

Be careful where you lock your bike! These racks at the San Diego County Fair are just placed on the dirt in the back of a parking lot.

And yet they check my backpack everyday for "stuff"-their term, not mine...

I feel so safe.

If you look a number bikes to it, it will provide some kind of safety. You cant pickup a half dozen bikes locked together, haha

Today is day 2 of the Fair and I have yet to see 1 bike locked to any of the racks...
Wouldn't take the chance, even with my Dahon.

Today is day 7 of the fair. Nobody has taken the bait yet. Not one bicycle locked up and I pass this area numerous times a day.
I give an F for location, an F for securing the racks, but an E for minimal effort.

The fair isn't exactly in an area that is easy to access by bike. Not many people gonna ride in from Rancho Santa Fe or Del Mar. Solana Beach, maybe, but still... Now if the fair were close to North Park / PB / OB it would be a different story...
