Anyone interested in the Tour De Los Padres?

Date: April 11th 2014

It's is a 300 mile bikepacking tour and race with over 30,000' of elevation gain that traverses through some of the most scenic areas of the Southern Los Padres National forest between Frazier Park and Santa Barbara, California - RIGHT IN MY BACKYARD!!!!! :o Elevations along the route range from sea level to 8,300 feet.

Here is the link to the site: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.tourdelospadres.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.tourdelospadres.com/index.html</a>

Although the majority of it is Fire Roads, some street, and a little singletrack; I would still do it.

I've already submitted my request.

To be honest I think NONE! I think this is a non supported ride from what I know right now...

From what I understand it is self supporting. I have a few buddies from up north who are going to do this also and are going to have someone provide water and food when possible if it is allowed.

Welcome Dan!
As well, Cathy (mi esposa) said that if there are checkpoints that coincide with roads she would drop supplies...

For those of you looking at new dirt and adventure....

Remember!

I'm not that crazy and are you ready?

Far from it. Barely getting a ride in once a week is not going t prep me for 300 miles...
I just promised Erin I would help him promote a local event. He has done this for several years now, I would love to get out and ride some of this stuff!
