Tips for Las Ramblas?

David

Newbie with Hope!
I am looking to ride Las Ramblas, but have no idea where to park, and what sort of course to take. What are the up trails? What are the good descents? Can anyone recommend a good loop to try?

Thanks for the help.

Welcome Serial Lurker. Sounds like a good screen name.
Where is Las Rumblas? I only ask because I live in Canada... :whistling:

I'm using psychology right now to draw the victim out of his shell.
Nobody make any sudden moves...

The Wednesday Docent rides hit that up often. If you can make it to those when they happen it's a good deal.
Ride, sammy and beer for $5 total.

End of Las Ramblas and end of Los Mares puts you on the trails or ride in from Camino Capistrano and LA Novia.

A lot of fire roads and mazes of ST. I don't know them well and have only ridden them a couple of times.

Maybe check a Strava heat map if you pay for it.

I ride Ramblas often. I get off the 5 at PCH/Ramblas exit and head east till it dead ends. That is primary trail head. Lots of fun stuff..no major climbs..but fun downhills with some steep and loose...favorite trails there Two Balls and a Bone..Secret Sh!t....BGR. My advice is just explore..tough to get lost if you use the water tank and Flagpole for reference.

Is that near the San Clemente single tracks? If so... paging @Cyclotourist . There are a few others who ride down there, as well...

I lived 20 minutes away from it for 15 years and never made it there.

I don't usually make it out that far when I'm riding there. I'd have to drive, and ewwww, yuck, not on vacay! So I ride the Singletracks, which are off of La Pata (or come up Cristianitos). They're pretty fun!
