I'm curious how the rear shock improves the Hightower.:thumbsup:

I’ll definitely report back on this. According to all the research I’ve done, this is the bee’s knee’s for this bike. I went with a longer stroke than stock not only to increase travel. But finding a 200x57 was a lot easier than a stock 200x51. Lots of good reviews about this shock and the Hightower regardless of travel.

I haven't installed the debonair air spring in the Pike, YET! I wanted to ride the bike @ 150mm front and rear. Went out to Blue Diamond trails on the west side of the valley for a trail named Fook Yu. Most people shuttle this trail, I chose to do it out and back. Lots of HAB on the climbing, all good.
The DPX2 was noticeable immediately! Small bumps were smoothed out and all but vanished. Climbing steeps felt really good, traction was optimal considering the beat rear Aggressor tire. Climbed most everything in the full open mode. Flipped the switch to climb mode several times. IT HELPED eliminate the bounciness, But, it felt really harsh and my skinny ass was aching with a few minutes. I prefer to leave the shock fully open. The descent was amazing very smooth over small, medium, and large rocks. Rebound felt spot on, along with the compression. The few drops that were on the trail were handled with ease. I did not use all of the travel, but definitely came within a few mm's. For first ride... this shock rips. Felt very predictable and planted. Reminded me of riding on a coil.

I'll put the debonair spring in the Pike this week and HOPEFULLY head back out to FOOK YU again to compare.

Thread-surrection.... Got two rides in now with the Pike Debonair Air Spring upgrade pushing the travel to 160mm. The Hightower is now fully morphed to 160/150. Feels real good all around.

The Debonair Air Spring made a YUUUGE difference in the small bumps. Smoothed them out, any kind of chatter... gone! Full travel with no harsh bottoming. Didn't even notice that I bottomed out. Compression feels a lot smoother, especially @ higher speeds. Rebound was a bit off, turning the clicker worked it out. Swapped a stem spacer to the top of the stem to drop the bars back down. And, presto! Attack position locked.

Still fine tuning the DPX2. Added 5lbs to the pressure, ending @ 183. Much better, smoother stroke that takes a bit more to bottom. Ride in full open position. It's kinda stupid how much more stable this shock makes the ride feel. Not necessarily faster times. The bike just feels much more planted and stable when railing the local ST. I'm stoked so far.

Finished her off w/ a fresh set of E13 skinwall 2.4 AT's to complete the full enduro look.

I got an LT upper link coming in the mail later this week. We'll see if it gives me any added wheel clearance along the seatube. With the new E13 rubber the clearance is REALLY close. BUT! no rub @ full bottom.
