So hello!

Glad I found this place. Rode with Cougar a few times, we are strava buddies and I noticed this past weekend he rode with the imtbtrails crew. So, I thought I would check it out. Looks like a great way to meet some more riding mates. One can never have enough riding partners.

As bad as I wanted to try and tie Adele into this thread I won't. I'm sure it's been done already.

Welcome aboard, Doc!! Don't holster the weapon, and never hold back on the rides. Well, unless it will cause personal injury. :)

Perhaps we'll run into each other on Blackstar, or Harding, or?

Ride often, post often, banter much.

Hello, Doc... That reminds me of my senior yearbook quote: "Ehh, What's up, Doc?" Yeah- We tend to get off topic pretty easily. o_O

Anyway... Welcome to IMTB and feel free to jump in anywhere and often! Nobody here bites. And, I'd take a look at the ride reports sub-forum, especially the "I rode my bike today" thread. A few pages of that, and you'll either settle in nicely, or run for the hills!

Sure thing. I'm mostly on Oaks, Aliso, Luge or Whiting. I would like to do the Santa Anas a bit more, just haven't.

There have been a lot of rides in the Santa Anas posted lately... some grinders, some white knucklers, and everything in-between. If you're looking to try something like Holy Jim, Harding, or anything else, let us know...

Well I can tell already, you are going to fit in just F.I.N.E.
1) The Doc Holiday works for me
2) If you ride with cougar, then you're alright
3) You already mentioned imtb
4) You ride a Park Pre which reminds me of the first mountain bike California State Championship Series. They were the big sponsor of that.
And...
5) You already have an Avatar!

As Scissors stated above, ride often, post often, become a contributor! That way you can have two functions in life. Ride Bikes and endlessly Talk about it. Proving that you absolutely have "No Life" . . . Like us.

Oh! And don't forget about developing your post derailment skills. Apparently that is an imtbtrails basic requirement.
Oh! And another thing . . . . Well, get a pen and paper...

Welcome to imtbtrails!

Mikie

I think I can safely say that nobody on IMTB has tied Adele into any thread - not even an introductory one...

Howdy from a guy who rides where you ride - or at least I claim to. Ride often. Write often. Banter kindly. See you out there. (waving smiley)

This is the best place to be F*cked.....

Sorry can't help with toe issues. Mikie can keep his toe fungus to himself. Plus I'm not a Dr. I just love that movie.

I can sling the sarcasm with the best of them. And thanks tortoise for the info. I will for sure skip the IE side of the Santa Ana's now.

Funny about the avatar. My son left that as a present on my ipad yesterday, so I thought, why not.

The old Parkpre is a 2008-10 prototype I got off a friend. Ken Yamakoshi (son of Cozy) had it hanging around and gave/sold it to my buddy who lived down the street from him. It works for now. I just converted it to 1 x 9 for fun. Mathis at Aliso is a whole lot tougher now without the granny ring. Just tried it on Sunday. These legs will just have to man up and get stronger.

Now to go sit on the 405. Yeah me!

Cool forum. Cool people. Just cool. UNREAL ride reports. I have not ever wasted an entire day of billable hours looking at ride reports!! Okay, I have .... That was an expensive day!!! I am new as well and have not yet been bitten ... I too look forward to one of the Santa Ana epics. I ride Aliso and LWP, generally. I can be seen on a green Bronson or a black and blue Pivot. Going 1x elevated my fitness pretty quickly. Welcome!
