One of my best friends has moved on from his hightower to a reign 29 frame. He is selling his frame but isn't versed in selling items on CL, ebay or otherwise so I'm helping him out.

This is an XL frame with normal wear and tear. There are some small scratches, which are shown well in the photos, but absolutely nothing that impacts performance. (most scratches are inside of the rear chainstays, which is common on this generation of frame).

This frame was owned by a former manager at the path bike shop who now works with me at my place of employment. This frame was maintained meticulously by a bike mechanic and has very minimal miles on it. Bearings have been recently cleaned/serviced/replaced. Shock has been checked and had air can service completed. This whole setup has around 500-600 miles on it.

Price is $1,500 for non IMTB Trails members (CL/Ebay/Friend of a friend sales). The price is different for IMTB trails folks. If you are interested, please send me a message and let's chat pricing on this.

P.s. Bike has frame protection put on it in key wear areas. If you would like this removed prior to sale, please let me know and we'll get it removed and cleaned up for you.

P.P.S.S. Please buy this to stop me from buying it from him. I always sorta miss my hightower and wished I had gotten an XL instead of a L way back when. Even though I love my megatower and my trance 29... this bike was the first bike I've ever ridden that was a quiver killer. It has taken me two bikes to get the functionality that I had in my old hightower. Great, reliable and versatile bike.

Includes:
-XL Hightower Frame with Fox Factory Shock
-Rear Axle
-Seatpost Collar

You just solved your own concern! Sell your Meg and your Hei Hei - put money in the bank and get on that XL quiver killer!

I would... but the megatower is/was bought so that I'd have a downhill bike without having to own a downhill bike. My megatower will see a 190mm dual crown fork, and a 60mm stroke shock for a whistler trip that was supposed to happen this year... now planned for next year. While the hightower was a quiver killer and was plenty composed for my local mammoth and N* trips... It's not suited to yanking up on the handlebars and praying that the flying spaghetti monster (or your deity of choice of course) will guide you safely to your landing).

The mega pedals remarkably well for what it is... but there is no getting around the wheelbase of the modern bikes. The mega can do it all, if you need it to... the hightower of this generation does it all without needing to ask.

A best friend deal under these circumstances should not be passed up. :) Unless your buddy is tight, in which case it would be a disservice to take it.

Sounds like you made a hole in your quiver. Won't you need a whip like this for the Santa Anas, those longer days that include the more engaging terrain? And that hopelessly twisty shyt at the beach? Rehtorical questions – you know you do. :p

Good on you for helping a bud.
