Sabotaged Tahoe Trail

My Moto racing club (Checkers M.C.) normally throws a National-Hare & Hound desert race every year. "Earth first" pulled down course markings, spiked the course in various places and laid spikes on the dirt road heading to the race.. Bessemer mine Rd..

They are lucky I do not possess a magic wand!

I, on the other hand, am a pedaling mt. biker. A dying breed. Please don't spike me! :cautious:

This sucks, BTW. It should be a criminal offense - intending to do great bodily injury. People suck.
 
I got vibed super hard by a female hiker on the Rim Trail. I knew then that the animosity of Incline Village and other locals toward the MTB community was not just talk I’d heard. I’m glad I was in full compliance and not rude. Talking shyt at other trail users while they give the ROW – a new one on me.

Great place for recreation. Happy to visit, happy to leave.
 
99 % of hikers and Mtn. bikers are nice out on the trail. I get more nervous coming up on hikers who move out of the way quickly for me rather than watching where they are stepping out of the way to. I always slow down to pass hikers on the trail and some hikers stand their ground which is their right because they have the right of way. I simply stop and let them pass and smile. The person who sabotaged the trail will eventually get caught.
