Welcome to the best little MTB forum west of the Pecos, former minimusprime. The lead dog and owner of this site - I'll call him Mikie - is awesome. He actually rides AND participates in the forums. He just changed the site to this new format, so we are experiencing some growing pains as we adapt to the different tools and stuff.
Thanks for the welcome. A site admin that participates and does site upkeep? I'm not sure what to do with myself.
Welcome! I like bacon.....
Without a doubt, bacon is the king of meats. I also enjoy bacon's slightly overweight sibling, pork belly.
Hello and welcome! A lot of us are from STR... A large herd migrated over after the last meltdown about a year ago, and more keep trickling in from time to time. I'm in south OC and usually ride what I can reach from the house: O'Neill, Caspers, Whiting, Blackstar, Holy Jim, etc... Although I usually avoid the mountains when it's this hot. A lot of the posters are from the north, and post crazy good rides in an attempt to lure us up there. I'm dying to go, but time hasn't allowed it yet!
Thanks for the welcome. I did a tahoe trip a few weeks ago and was blown away. I think a trip to hit the dirt up north is going to be on the annual to-do list for a while.
Hi Ebruner!
I'm one of the guys that tries to lure guys like Faust29 up North to ride our crazy wilderness epics. it has not happen yet, but I keep trying along with others...
I like your style already!...
Welcome from Frazier Park!
~Mikie
Thanks for being the shepherd of this heard of sharks. I'm happy to be a part of it!
Welcome from Ladera Ranch. And from a fellow STR refugee . Hmmm... cycling, motorsports, photography - looks a lot like my life, minus the cat.
Well, the cat was a package deal with my wife, but I'll be damned if the little bugger hasn't grown on me after 12 years or so. I've found that cycling, motorsports, and photography go together like bankruptcy and credit card debt. Unfortunately, that seems to be what all three of those hobbies have most in common.
Welcome! I am also fairly new here to the forums, great place. I live in Orange right next to Santiago Oaks so if you ride there or ever want to let me know.
Good to have a riding buddy over there. I used to live in Tustin and would ride that place regularly. I love that park for weekday after work rides... the place is almost always empty.
Hello from Corona !! I used the same name in Str back in the days, but I can say this site is GREAAAAATTT !!
Welcome to the familia !
Thanks!
Welcome Ebruner, nice Miata Spec! You still racing? I worked at Mazda corp. for many years, many Miata demo/leases from the first series on. Funnest cars ever. Still searching for the Miata-like bike
A-men to that. I feel like I'm searching for the miata like everything. It defines the 80/20 rule, 80% of the fun for 20% of the cost... ok maybe in the miata's case it's the 95/15 rule. The car you are looking at there is my ever evolving project. It's 99 with an engine swap from a 2004 (vvt) with a standalone ecu, fully custom exhaust all sitting on a wheel, tire and suspension package that costs more than the entire vehicle. It only makes about 155 wheel horse ponies but it does only weigh 2150lbs so it can be a hoot. I use this as a time attack car because it only has a 3/4 roll cage. I'm in the process of helping build a car that is going to race in the nasa WERC enduro series with the owner of Blackbird Fabworx. Never a dull moment with these stupid little cars.
Welcome. Some good looking wheels there.
Which ones? MTB, Road Bike or car?
Thanks for the welcome.
Very creative use of what looks like a mini-boom speaker in the pic of your Giant MTB. Welcome to the site from another STR refugee.
There is always someone on each forum with an eye for the minutia, good catch! I love that stupid little speaker and I think I just found my second favorite use for it. Thanks for the welcome!
