Good morning all,

I was recommended here by a member I met out on the Fullerton loop. I believe his name is here was wheezy. Was on MTBR for a while but never really clicked there. I'm in Covina and usually do the loop or Marshall canyon (1 or 2 rides a week) if anyone wants to ride. I look forward to our discussions here.

Happy riding!
Rob

Hey Rob!
Welcome to imtbtrails Bud!
Well hopefully it all works well here for you. We're a friendly bunch!
You gotta watch out for that @wheezy guy. Here he dresses like a celebrity black woman?!?!o_O
None the less, we'll reserve our opinion once we get to know yah, ha hah!

Life is short... ride lots!
Hope to see you on the trails!

If you have no lungs buy an EBike!! :whistling:

Welcome from Murrieta and now let the EHaters rip away......
Oh Rox! :) What Rox "meant" to say (translation):
Welcome to imtbtrails!
...and to clarify, their are no E-Haters on imtbtrails, just folks concerned about what impact E-Bikes may have in the big picture of trail cycling in the United States based on the mentality and perspective of other trail users... :whistling:
:cool:But I digress!

Hey, right on Rob, welcome to the site. I think you'll like it here man. There are lots of cool people to help and hook up with for riding. Glad you came over and signed up!

How the heck did a welcome intro post turn into an ebike thread already? :poop::cautious:

Edit: LOL just noticed the screen name. NoLungs and Wheezy - we should totally ride together Rob!

Aloha Kemosabe....you have now entered the realm of most of the coolest peeps around.

We may yank yer chain from time to time, and Rox may fling poo at you from her tree branch.....but it's all in good fun.

We have a bit of everything here....XC riders, DH riders, No Ride...just post riders, and even some FLoop riders. I guess it is kinda like 31 flavors here, you are bound to find something you like.

Usually recomend reading though the "I Rode My Bike Thread" and the "Ride Reports" Forum to see the kind of shenanigans that go on around here.

And yes, the So. Cal. board at MTBr is a joke, it always has been.

Welcome to the joint, nL.

Hope to hit some trailage. I ride in CNF often. Keep an eye out for posted rides; come out, bust a lung (or a gill), break a sweat and maybe get scared.

Pedalpower FTW

Hi Rob, welcome! Maybe I can join you for a Marshall Cyn excursion sometime. I am pretty close to your neck of the woods. I ride the Hacienda Hills area a lot, you are welcome to come out here and ride the local trails if you want.

I think @ridinrox is just a little upset that ebikes are now the topic of conversation around here. They've replaced her favorite forum topic. :whistling:
If you mean this:

then...YES!!

Poo talk is so STR.

Hello @noLungs! I ride Marshall et al. as well. Send me a PM to rendezvous. I ride safe most of the time.

On another note, I'm rather entertained that @ridinrox puts an E-bike monkey wrench on threads. The bane of earnest MTB posts I fling poo and MonkeyPiss! Call me Harambe!

Already loving the vibes here over MTBr. Thank you for all the warm welcomes. I will definitely be messaging a lot of you guys to ride some of mine and your local trails. Wasn't intending for the thread to go ebike (not a fan of them) but whatever :D .

Side note, a coworker has been hot and heavy over his ebike and it drives me bonkers. Pedal power FTW!!

@Danimal this is the one time I can say that I've outdone myself, even if I was shooting for a marginal intro thread at best.
@herzalot i look forward to being an active participant. Like someone else already mentioned, MTBR SoCal sucked and I have to say kept me away from forums. Long story short this forum feels way more personal and engaging.

Welcome! Wow, you come to the Floop from Covina? I'm assuming there is something else that brings you down here. I know the Floop is a world renowned trail with visitors coming in all over the globe, but it's so far from Covina.

I actually have no reason other than I like that it's a trail with a little bit of everything. Bonelli park climbs are brutal for little reward. Marshall canyon can get a bit boring. I can mix up a lot of combinations on a FLOOP ride.
