Been looking for a trail bike, my XC bike is a blast to ride but wanted more squish for the tech. And want my race bike to last longer been beating it up since I got it. Closeouts are hitting the market and the owner of the shop I frequent offered me a unpassable deal. Insert hook in mouth and bam new bike in the garage. If you are a Specialized hater avert your eyes. Stumpy Carbon Expert. 1st ride is to Greer tomorrow. Can't wait to get dialation. Thanks Neighborhood Cyclery, you rock!

Congrats on feeding your addiction.

I don't have the Specialized aversion others seem to covet...maybe because I just don't care. Personally can't see a reason to replace my Giant, but if a Specialized was the right price and ticked my boxes I'd probably buy it.

That said, your full squish is butt ugly. :whistling::eek::cool: Too many moving parts.

Cool - congrats. Love the color too. Specialized make great bikes - I don't think any Speshy hater hates the bikes per se, just the company.

New bikes bring new enthusiasm, a fresh approach to the same old trails and a desire to hit other trails. Oh - and a place in the frame to stuff stuff! Win-win-win-win!

Well thoughts on the bike, when I purchased my Scalpel XC bike I took to it like I was born to ride it. This bike is taller, squishy and fun to ride but going to take some getting used to. New challenge which was expected. 1st ride was at trails I have never ridden before, Greer. Techy stuff so I was very calculated on the descents but felt the potential. Climbing was not bad. Looking forward to hitting my local stuff to familiarize myself with the geometry so I can open it up and fly.
