I'm taking Monday off to ride! Thinking of riding the SOT north of Bouquet Cyn Rd across from 5-Deer before the hikers start coming through. So if any of need a theraputic ride in place of a work day you're welcome to join!

Yeah, cuz so many of us working stiffs who work Monday through Friday jobs have Monday's off, you BIG TEASE!!! ;)

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuu...I just added a meeting to my calendar for noon! I had a clear day up until then. I can't cancel now...docs blocked the time off on their schedule. :x

Since you asked Scotty, it was excellent! Dirt still tacky in the shade but not yet dusty elsewhere. Great weather and the wind pushed me up the hardest 2 mile climb a bit but wasn't a major factor. 18 miles total mostly ST and well worth taking some comp time!

Where's the pics? Or did you run out of flash powder?

The little bird in my Flintstone camera died last week so he couldn't carve out the pics onto the stone tablet! It's gonna take a long time to train another one so no ride pics from me for a while!

How did you get 18 miles? Strava link? Here's the half we did, on the other side of 5Deer. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.strava.com/athletes/208563#interval?interval=201403&interval_type=week&chart_type=miles&year_offset=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.strava.com/athletes/208563#i ... r_offset=0</a>

Strava link! You're funny scottay! Started on Bouquet about a mile west of Lincoln Crest. Pedaled back east that same mile to FSR 6N04 then up about 5 miles to SOT. North on SOT about 4.5 miles then back to Bouquet all on SOT. Rode that 4.5 mile spur to the north both directions and the other section only to the south back to Bouquet.

Ah so you rode Uranus both ways  ?
then back to Bouquet on Mars

Back in the day lots of folks called the SOT section from fire road back to Bouquet "Mars" so naturally the part going toward San Francisquito (North) must be Uranus

The problem with Uranus, ahem, is that it is rife with Poison Oak and I've picked up a tick or two almost every time Ive' ridden it. Great piece of t(r)ail though!
