My Yeti 575 came stock with Avid Juicy 3's back in 2006. It was real easy to switch brands after riding those POS.
Tried Shimano but at the time they weren't so great either. Got a shop deal on the Louise and was on Magura brakes for 8 or 9 years.
The Louise is where I finally figured out how to use disc brakes. The silent power allowed me to brake before corners, and to not drag the brake on extended downhills. It is a great brake for someone that needs powerful stoppers-like a tandem, or a newb trying to figure it out....
