If any of you are interested in riding or snow sports or fishing or lake sports and want to do an epic journey, I have two rental properties in Whitefish Montana. One is in downtown Whitefish--one of the coolest towns in the US and the other is a ski-out/bike-in and out property on Whitefish Mountain.

Whitefish is about 20 miles from Glacier National Park and there's an airport with direct flights to and from LAX. Glacier Park International airport (also known as Kalispell airport) is less than 15 minutes from my new downtown 2br/2ba condo and less than 25 minutes from the house on the mountain.

The town has a large number of fantastic restaurants, breweries, bars and boutique stores. There are five very good bike stores around that rent Specialized, Kona, some Santa Cruz, Scott and other road and mountain bikes. There are hundreds of miles of every sort of single track trail you can imagine and the town of Whitefish has 40 or 50 miles of incredibly groomed trails called the Whitefish Trails accessible from the city center near the condo. Whitefish Mountain has two XC courses, some back country trails and lift service to everything from cruisers to ◆◆ with amazing views of the city, lake and Glacier Park to Canada. Oh, yea in the winter, there are 3000+ acres of skiing with deep powder show and gladed runs like you've never seen with no crowds and lift tickets under $70!

There are so many other things to do there I can't begin to list them all, but if you are a fan of outdoor sports and adventure, it doesn't get any better. National Geographic just names Whitefish as one of the top 25 ski locations in the world. Last year I took five other guys up to stay in our 4br 5ba house on the mountain. We rented a variety of Specialized Bikes like Enduro, 6 Fattie and Stumpjumpers and rode XC, DH, back country averaging two rides per day plus side trips to the town and Glacier Park and Bigfork. Just behind the mountain house is the lower lodge, a alpine slide, 5 ropes courses, two of the long, high-speed ziplines, the XC course and the lift.

Below are a few images and links to the properties with a rental company. If you'd like to rent, hit me up and I can better the on-line deals. Both homes are high-end and very new. Both have WiFi, cable TV, new TVs, high-end finishes, memory foam mattresses, and ideal locations. The in-town condo sleeps 6 (3 beds) and the mountain house sleeps up to 12. The mountain house is pretty quick to rent and fils quickly for winter and summer. Hit me up for any questions...

I visited White fish a couple of years ago for work. The timing was not great (after they close the lifts), but the place is magnificent.
I'm planning get back one day (maybe this summer).
What's the best way to get there?

15/90

Valley of Fire state park in UT is a nice crash spot for night one, if a bit off the highway.

Fly into Calgary and drive down, probably 4-5 hrs drive.
It's the second sentence in @AKAKTM post...

Reading comprehension (and writing) is not my strongest skills. Thanks.

Travel there direct from LAX or with connections through SLC are very easy and Kalispell/Glacier airport is minutes from the houses. From LAX to the couch in either place is less than 3 hours via the direct flight options. It's pretty close to fly to Missoula or even Spokane as alternatives.

1350 miles from SCV to Whitefish.

Yes Mike, right off the Contneneral Divide Trail.

If anyone is interested let me know and I'll work a best possible deal--particularly on the condo as it's new and I want to get a few rentals and reviews on the property.
