Hi MikieHey Welcome to imtbtrails Jose!
There are riders of all speed here.
Kudos for reaching out to find good folks to ride with and you will certainly find good guys here.
Ride often, post often...
Hope we meet soon.
Mikie of Frazier Park
Hi MikeHi, Jose. Numerous inland riders on the board here; I'm sure you'll have opportunities. Keep stoked!
Hah! They are a slow painful death for EVERYONE in the beginning. But you will figure out you have nine lives and come back for more. The more you ride, the less painful the climbs. Just make sure you include "FUN" in the plan my brothah!Hi Mikie
Thanks for looking out! I'm hoping to get in better shape so i can make the climbs cause right now climbing is a slow painful death for me.

Those are some words to live by!Or, in the infamous words of some bike riding dude, "it never gets easier, you just go faster."
Welcome aboard!!!
Hi Jose!
Welcome! Take a look at the Ride Reports sub forum and the Trailhead forum. There's a little bit of everything in there, and like Mikie said, there are all kinds of riders here.
My slow death from climbing was about 3-4 years ago. Then I figured out that I really liked it... [/
I've gone on a couple shop rides and i had a really hard time keeping up, but I'll definitely check out the other forums. Thanks for the info!
JoseI live in Riverside and would like to ride with people that don't mind riding with slower riders like myself.
Hi Jose, I live sorta' nearby in Redlands. My rides are pretty sporadic, but if I ever nail down a timeframe, I'll post an invite! In the meantime, get out and ride Sycamore Canyon (IE version) which is in your back yard and good for a lot of miles! I think JensonUSA hosts weekday rides there as well. At least they used to.I live in Riverside and would like to ride with people that don't mind riding with slower riders like myself.
That would be awesome! Can you ride on the weekends?Jose
I'm out of Riverside if you need some one to show you around. I ride most of the time weekday mornings.
I would look into shop rides around the area. I know Pedals bicycles dose a Tuesday night and Saturday morning ride out at sycamore. Jenson also dose a no drop ride ones a month at sycamore.

And I must recommend being aware of, if not joining the IEBA. Good people there, who really want to support all forms of cycling in the IE![/QUOTE
Please let me know I'm always willing to drive to new places to ride. I've ridden sycamore maybe like 3 times. I lived in yucaipa back in the 90's so I'm still a little familiar with the redlands area.
Hey Jose, go to the neighborhood cyclery Facebook page. I believe they ride the 2nd and 4th Sundays at Sycamore. It is usually a family type ride perfect for the slower types. It will hurt the first few times but you will be up to speed in no time. I ride with them often. I will let you know the next time I go on Sunday. Won't be til the first of the year. JJHi Mikie

The post above is pretty accurate too .
I lived there from 91 until 95. I was like 15 when we moved there, me and my friends used to ride everywhere.Sure. When you were in Yucaipa hopefully you were able to put some time in on Crafton. I lived there in the 90's as well! Trails were NOWHERE near as nice as they are now. If you haven't been there for a while, check it out!
