Just the Tip - Fun article/vid on Laguna from PB

Thought this was fun mostly because Brett Tippie and Cedric Gracia are such goofball characters and joust back and forth (verbal and biking) with Hans Rey, Richie Schley and Anneke. The vid has some riding footage on Rockit in Aliso (starts around 4 minute mark), including CG making a crazy pass on Tippie after the rock garden then blowing the next corner and going down  Also has some footage on Telonix and the double rock roller extra credit at the top.

BTW, I'm not associated with Crank Brothers (it's pretty much their long commercial), but I did have one of their non dropper seatposts once. Don't often cross post from the news sites but since it has some somewhat popular OC trails might be worthwhile if you missed it over at PB.

I love Hans Rey talking about all the great history, trails and mtb scene in Laguna and then adds "but nobody knows it in Laguna..." So true. It's the weirdest relationship - the Laguna Canyon Foundation and most of the local powers that be seem to do all they can to discourage mt. biking, or to impose their own views of what mt. biking should be (riding slowly on low gradient, out-sloped trails). Meanwhile, there are some phenomenal, technically demanding trails - some - like Rock-It, 5-Oaks, Stair Steps, Lynx and Car Wreck are legal (for now) and many, many, many more are off the menu. Riders like Richie Schley, Brian Lopes and Hans Rey choose to live in Laguna for year-round riding on those trails in spite of the fact that Laguna does not embrace mt. biking.
