Booya.

Tease! Tell us more. And more pics. What amazing weather!

I went Thursday for season pass holders appreciation day. Most of the normal trails in similar condition as last season. Normal has never felt better. They only had Chair 1 running and it got busy, but not unbearable. Maybe 15-20 minutes in line. Got 8 laps in or so. Good stuff. Can’t wait to get back up.

It’s all over. Most of the time it’s not terrible. Holiday weekends and stuff like that are usually busy. Sometimes it can be randomly busy, or it gets stupid if they aren’t running both lifts. But, for the most part, lines aren’t too bad.

Seems like afternoons empty out. I haven't been up there for a couple of years, but I recall the crowd thickest from 10:00-2:00. Is that still true?

Yea that seems about right. I like to get there early and get laps. Easier with a pass and then can stay a little later when it tapers off.

I want to go up ASAP, but all the people I normally ride with haven't ridden for a while and they want to shake off the dusk / break off the rust before going OTB on Miracle Mile.

Less glorious. Broken collarbone on Friday. Out for a few weeks.

Not super obvious to me but the ER doc looked at it for seriously like 5 seconds and said, ‘yup, you broke your collarbone’.

I can definitely feel it moving around a little and hurts like a mofo.

I was at Snow Summit. Couple teenagers dropped in ahead of us, all kitted up. Gave them a min or so. Then dropped in to the run. One of them crashed on the back side of of a jump. His buddy ran up the back of the landing right as I was taking off. Tapping a little panic brake going off the lip is not the ideal situation. Hit the ground pretty hard on my shoulder. Went to first aid, they weren’t sure. Got cleaned up at my buddies house and drove to Kaiser by my house. It was Friday. They gave me some Tylenol with Codeine, a sling and a pat on the ass out the door.

The jump pic is like two years old. Thats me in the frame. Tombstone on Muscle Beach for those that know. Same takeoff on the right literally as the dude comes up the backside of the landing. Couldn’t see either of them at first.

OK - this has to stop! Bummed that you broke the c-bone. Like you, I don't see it in that view on the x-ray, but your pain confirms the doc's assessment.

Sorry to hear about this mishap. Glad you didn't hit the teens - their fault for not getting someone to the lip to warn of a rider down - but understandable that they run to their buddy first.

Heal up quick. Anybody here want to invent a comfortable device that protects collarbones without endangering one's neck? I think I'd buy one.

zero gravity, bro!

@kazlx , sorry about the mishap that wasn’t due to your lack of ability. I broke mine near there too, on a mangy tabletop without any outside influence and haven’t been back since.
If riding bikes were competitive, I’d rank you among the top 3 on this site only because there’d be two others who would expect to be on the podium with you.
