Hey everyone, thought I'd drop by and say hi. My name's Alan and I like to ride all types of bikes. I've been riding for over 20 years, but that doesn't mean I'm very fast :-D. My favorite rides are Chilao (I'll probably be out there Sunday), Cheseboro, and I frequent the Fryman area because it's close. I ride a lot of road as well and have recently built a cross bike for "gravel road" riding. I've even been known to do some hiking from time to time. I mostly lurk but will chime in from time to time, I'm on STR under the same handle but haven't posted there since the big hack about a year ago, it seems to be the Orange County board now anyways. Hopefully I'll see y'all around sometime.

I'm a 20+ year vet myself...
I do remember you from STR, glad you joined the family!
I have to admit, I've been contemplating a gravel bike myself :o
I have a huge inventory of fire roads/paved roads that would make good sense up here in Frazier Park.

I hope we do get to ride together sometime soon!

Welcome to the party Alan! I would guesstimate about 70% of the members here will have ridden a bike today, 20% will have tinkered, 9% are surfing this website, and 1% are the designated shuttle drivers for the day. This is a well-oiled machine, except when we get more than 5 to ride Palm Canyon together...then it's a total cluster faq...
