Home Owner/Renters Insurance

Went down to AAA to renew my membership and take care of a registration and while I was there was offered HO/Renters Insurance. I've been renting the last year due to circumstances of a divorce and hadn't yet picked up renters insurance. Long story short $118 per year for the insurance that includes $20k for the bikes and $60k for contents of the house. The addition of the bikes was a mere $24. That's 2 bucks a month to cover 20k in bikes! Totally worth the peace of mind it gives us. And they are covered no matter what or where anything might happen. Just passing this info on for those of you that might not have it. If you already have insurance you may want to verify your bikes are covered.

$20k in bikes? What was your address again? ;) Hah hah! Just kidding . . . . I know where you live . . . hah, just kidding , again...

Good move! Does it happen to be replacement value insurance?

If my wife found out I had spent 20k on bikes, you and I would be roomates :-)

My wife gave the green light to buy a new bike. Only after the purchase did she ask the price....
Kind of chilly around the house for a few days after that, but worth it!

+1 on insurance! Never know when or where you might need i!

Also, while most people don't think in such terms, renters insurance (and homeowners insurance) will protect you if you injure someone while riding your bike.
