Holiday Swapmeet

Anyone know of or want to plan a Holiday Swapmeet? I have a garage full of random things I would like to part with and I am sure most of you do as well. Since the Fully Loop Swapmeet's are pretty much a thing of the past (are they?) and honestly I had some SHADDDDDYYYYY people come to barter with me at the last few, I think its time for something new?

I didn't see another thread here talking about this. All we need is a big parking lot or even a place like Blackstar with a big trailhead area with lots of parking and a date.

I'm getting tired of listing low cost items on Craigslist. It's just not worth the time to meet someone for $5. I'll spend more in gas parting out my garage that way. If anyone has any ideas, knows of something, or I missed a thread, I'm all ears (or rather eyes).

Cheers

This! I merged two households recently and threw away, gave away or donated so so much stuff. Probably could have made some good money, but just didn't have the time or somewhere to store it while I waited. I now have multiple tax receipts from the Salvation army though.

the one thing I sold they offered me $30 for something easily worth a couple hundred. and I took it just so they'd move it instead of me. And they asked for delivery...LOL, as if... o_O

I had neighbors move out that we shared a carport with down in Newport and they left a fridge and some furniture there but kept saying they were coming back for it. After a few days I had enough, took some pictures and posted it up. Within an hour I had a girl over and was helping load it all up in her friend’s pickup. $200 to rid my carport of junk. I only gave her our crossstreets and had a carport full of neighbors drinking when she came by so wasn’t too concerned about safety that time.

Sold my 4Runner running boards (running boards on a 4Runner are like a kickstand on a MTB) and met that guy in a shopping center and when I saw that he was driving a 4Runner I was able to take my finger off the pepper spray safety. :sneaky:

Anything less than $100 on Craigslist is donation or pay it forward territory for me.
