HOCKEY IS BACK!!!!!

You know Guy, the Avalanche had a better roster and was expected to win this year. Anything else would have been a disappointment.

I’m just glad they needed at least 20 games to to it, and they weren’t the No. 8 seed and didn’t win 10 away games in a row.
 
Congrats to the Colorado Avalanche and @herzalot for winning Lord Stanley's Cup! What a great series it turned out to be... at least Tampa got two wins. Already ready for the puck drop to start next season 22/23. LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!

I don't know enough about any of the teams to offer a projection. So I'll go with the Rangers. They got so close last year. But I have no idea how off-season trades impacted them - or anyone else. I am a horrible fan of professional sports. I really don't care very much so I don't watch much, don't do any of that fantasy league stuff and can barely name any players on any team.

I did watch a Ducks game once. Its refreshing to watch a game where the players get to beat the living crap out of each other. :D

I attended a few Ducks games. Had no idea what was going on, and couldn't see the puck unless it was almost stopped. But had a big very expensive beer so it was fun in my book :)

Not a lot of hockey talk here this year lads. Let's start the cheering and jabs!

My Avs have won 4 in a row - which give them about 4 wins total for the season... :( 51 points and 4th in Central conference.

Rangers are doing better than that - 57 points and 3rd in Metropolitan conference.

But how about those Kings, eh? 56 points and 3rd in the Pacific.

Boston still crushing everybody with 78 points. Next highest is Carolina with 64. Wow....

And the Ducks... well... #1 draft pick?
 
My Bruins are clicking but the Stanley Cup playoffs are a whole 'nother monster. I've seen the top seed go out in the first round too many times to get excited about anything. They should have swept the Blues the last time they were in the Finals and choked. I would love to see Bergeron go out on top.

I rented skates at two different rinks in London over winter break. They were frightening. I got on my skates a couple of weeks ago. It was like changing from driving a bus to driving a Ferrari! My skates are in good shape! 1/2" hollow and good to go!

My back on the other hand...

I am subbing in for a co-worker's husband who banged up his knee and is out for a while. Copper level team at The Great Park in Irvine. He's 20 years my junior - and he's old!

Nope. I would tell you the story about my cousin who pulled out his skateboard and hit a concrete skate park after 30 freaking years ... but I won't. :facepalm:

It's the only white "sweater" I had, so I didn't exactly match my team's orange and black theme.

I believe I skated 7 shifts. A couple of shots, 6 face-offs won and a lot of poor stick handling.

Kind of on topic.. got my lil ones rollerblades (@DangerDirtyD) for Christmas and hoping to get some street hockey going this spring/summer! Now I just gotta get a pair along with some sticks and a goal.

Still have all my ice hockey gear, actually rummaged through it the other day to see if I had my old roller hockey skates but no dice on those.
