Ummmm, yeah. My drawers woulda been stained. I admit I do not ever want to see one while I'm out riding. I know they're there...I just don't want to see them.

My encounter some years ago was quite calm compared to this.
We looked at each other, and it sauntered off...
pretty cool, but i didn't actually get the chills until about 10 min later when I thought, WTF!!!

I wonder if the calm talking to the lion prolonged the encounter...perhaps if he followed the typical suggestions of raising arms/bike, yelling, and basically being more aggressive, it would have chased the lion away sooner? It's cool to see it on video, but frankly if I were him, I would have pocketed my phone and grabbed the nearest rock.

Mt. Lion sighting in Whiting today by a friend of my friend Scott. He was hiking between 4 corners and Mark's bench. Got into a stare down with an adult cat, then used his handy dandy air horn to scare it away.
