I just found this forum and so far I like what I see. I now have it in my regular rotation.

If anyone has questions about where to ride in the Temecula area, feel free to hit me up. There's some good stuff going on around here, but a lot of it is on the "down low." I wouldn't say "top secret" like DH trails tend to be, but you won't find any maps of the trails we ride. We don't have the luxury of multiple, publicly maintained parks like OC. Maybe someday.

I will throw out that Simpson Park in Hemet is a hidden gem. The locals have done an incredible job with the trail system. Hemet may be a bit too far for most people to venture out to, but if you find yourself in the area, check it out.

I assume you're the socal_rider from STR? If so this would be Ryan, right? We've conversed on STR before...

I've been building this site for about 3-4 months now, and it's starting to get momentum.
I wish I lived closer to the Temecula area (I'm in Lebec, Ca up next to Frazier Park), as I have heard there is some good stuff out that way.

Look forward to talking with you here on imtbtrails. Better yet, would be great to get out for a ride sometime. There's a lot of great riding in between us! There's always half way? :)

Yes, one and the same SoCal_Rider from STR. A couple of linked posts to your ride reports got me checking this forum out.
 
Welcome. If you want to share any decent riding experiences down there, I'm not too far from ya. I'm in Perris. I've only ventured as far as the Murrieta Hills. I believe I accessed it by Daily Rd and wound up exiting at Clinton Keith Rd. I generally go north to ride. Only really have XC stuff around here. Would love to work on my handling skills on terrain that's a little out of my comfort zone.
 
^^^ If you'd like to try Simpson Park in Hemet sometime, let me know. My winter weekends that I can ride are limited because of Glamis trips, but there are other locals who could show you around too. Hit up "mtbbiker" on STR also. He just posted an open invite there too.
