Hello All

Welcome Sherpa, and who is Yvette? Cool name.

Not sure where French Valley is - but welcome from the LBC - no not that LBC, the one with mountain biking instead of gangsta rap.

What, where and how do you like to ride?

Yvette is the wife. French valley is in Temecula. I ride a bit of a mixed bag really. My bike is cross country but has been known to do some downhill. As you have seen from my STR post I need to get that pesky rear shock issue taken care of ASAP.

Maybe try used for now? maybe someone on this forum has a shock they could loan while yours is away for repair. Give us the specs. I have a DVO Jade not being used 200 x 57 mm.

@ridinrox lives in Murrieta and she's a hoot to ride with. She jumps (her bike) better than 95% of the men on this forum, myself included.

Welcome Sherpa for Yvette!!

I, too, live in the wonderful world of Wine Country where there are no Wilderness Parks to keep us off our local trails and the boys just keep building more and more each week. :p

If any of you OC/LA kiddos would like to relocate I'm your local Realtor!! (Howcha like that cheesy plug?!?)

Does Yvette ride too?? And Herz exaggerated; I like to get air even if it's not that much.

Hit me up if you'd like to ride ...

Welcome @yvettessherpa !
This is the place to hang for So Cal.
Thanks for joining up. It's all been said...
Ride much, post lots. This is a great group of mtb'ers.

Hope we hit the trails together soon...

Welcome!

I have a rear shock that was rebuilt by the Path the same week I bought the Salsa (1.5 years ago). Going to pick it up is what got me looking at new bikes... It's been hanging in the garage ever since and has all of 5 miles on it... maybe. Not the greatest, but I've been thinking about selling it. It could also be a loaner... I haven't needed it, and won't for the foreseeable future.

It's a RockShox Monarch... Not sure about anything else spec wise.

Thanks for the warm welcome all. Sorry Ridinrox, she used to ride road bikes back in the day when she was in high school and college and has even done the LA to San Diego ride (her dad said she couldn't do it) but no more. I have to also say thanks for the loner shock offers. That right there speaks volumes about the people on this site. I can greatly say I don't need them after pulling the trigger on a new shock tonight. I was able to score a Fox Float CTD LV 7.5x2 for $276 out the door. Now I just have to try to wait patiently for it to get here.

I got it from Bike Bling in Escondido so it wont take long for me to get it. I would pick it up there but I don't have the time right now.
