Last time I rode the Grizzly Century (2014?) out of North Fork/Bass Lake/Sierra Scenic Byway, we rode through some burned areas. I saw it as a normal part of California forest regeneration, although some areas had been too overgrown and had burned too hot.

Trails are good. Trails that won't wash away in the 200 year Pineapple Express are better.

We need more of this, not less.

Of course, we need more thinning on the ground throughout the Sierra. But that would take giving the USFS the resources to do it....
