Giant overdrive 2 dilemma

Been along time since I've posted due not being able to ride my bike because of mass amounts of snow.

I have a 2014 Giant Trance 1 with OD2, looking to swap over to standard 1 1/8-1.5 steering tube or swap my OD2 steerer tube to a new fork.

Is it logical to change the steerer? Or should i just buy a standard 1 1/8-1.5 headset & stem and be done with it?

Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Been doing this instead of posting on the forum I swar.

That must be a snow record for Anaheim Hills!

Without knowing more about the OD2 or what's involved in replacing a steerer tube, I'd say old and proprietary are two reasons to ditch it altogether if it's incompatible with modern standards.

Hey, I'm not riding either, but that's not inhibiting my posting frequency...:coffee:

Updated location :). That's what I was thinking as far as ditching the OD2 proprietary sizing.

I guess I'm in the market for a tapered headset & stem.
