You mean your 36 doesn’t flex like a wet noodle? Yeah neither does my Pike...
Don't know if you guys have noticed but weight no longer seems to be a concern in mountain bikes. The difference between a Fox 34 and a Fox 36 in weight is already considerable. The high end/lightest/trail/AM/Enduro bikes are not as light as they were a few years back. Me thinks that this is partially because the frames are a bit burlier and fatter forks are being used.

No single crown feels as confidence-inspiring as a dual crown when it comes to plowing into steep chunder. However, Enduro race courses are often too tight for the lack of turning radius of a dual crown, so I guess a niche of the market is calling for burlier single crowns.

@SnakeCharmer - weight was the major concern when people foolishly thought that mt biking was about going up hills. Once we all realized that going downhill is much more fun, we stopped worrying about how fast we could go up the hills and cared more about durability and performance on the proper side of gravity’s pull! ;)
