Hey corey90!
Well first off, WELCOME to imtbtrails bud! Thanks for joining the family!

Pretty awesome for a first go at it. I edited the first one so it embeds in your post. Check it out, it"s really easy.

I particularly like the crash and blood in the first one. Thats real dedication to get entertaining vid. You're a real giver!

Gtreat job!
Where were these vids taken at?

Nice for a first video.

I personally would have preferred it of the video was a bit shorter.
Point the camera up so it is looking further down the trail. I found myself watching only the very top of the frame.

What caused your crashes?

yep good overall but prefer shorter with shorter clips - nice first go- im a rookie with it also. It really helps to have someone out front if you can

That's cool, thanks for posting. I too got a GoPro for Christmas, Hero 4 Black. Can some of you experienced users give us some set up tips ? Lot of options and not sure what works best for out on the trails.

Kudos for getting your stuff out there. But I am a snob and only watch videos posted in HD, as I normally use my TV to watch YouTube MTBing videos. Soon I will only be watching MTB videos that incorporate drones into the videos.

For recording, go biggest resolution you can at 120fps. You want to really super slo-mo those unexpected moments. This will also let you do some zoom-in and move the display window around the recorded frame (next....)

If you use a mid-level video editor, you can end up cropping your video so what you want to stay on center frame, does. Think of it as panning the video recorded to show what you want it to. (Think Ken Burns, but with video).

When posting, downsample to 720p for the highest resolution.

15-20 second clips/segments keep attention.

See pinkbike's fails video section for more ideas.

I too have joined the go pro toting. Have not even looked at editing programs. Any recommendations?

The one from GoPro for free is a good start. I like it.
