Cracks me up

A week short of 1 yr later, I found myself upside down again :Roflmao This time only a block from home cutting in a driveway to get back on the horse trail, clipped a mailbox with my !!@#$^#$% wide bar end and tumbled down onto my back. Fortunately ended up on the sandy trail and not in the street under someone's tires.

Main damage was to shatter my helmet on impact. Rung my bell pretty good but no LOC. A little pedal barracuda bite on lower leg and sore here and there, hips, elbow, neck from a light whiplash. Nothing broken, cleaned the grit out of all of the orifices and scrapes, bike is fine.

Flux is awesome! Glad you are good!
Awesome! now you get a pretty new helmet...

Better the helmet take the beating than your head. The difference between being able to walk out or ride out on your own or getting a ride in one of these:

Saw someone getting tended to in Sullivan canyon yesterday after he took a header. Looks like he suffered a concussion.

Dang, that's the worst damage I've ever seen to a helmet. Great advertising that you didn't get concussed. Glad you're relatively ok, heal up quick!

Good work, helmet! You deserve a nice retirement.

You, blixet? Get back on the damn bike : )

PS: Glad you're okay!

Probably concussed a bit. Hit it hard, real hard. A little headache early, has gone away, and a little dizziness now. Irritability is another symptom but it is hard to judge given my baseline. o_O

20 years of Aikido training, I can take a fall, but bicycle ukemi is a different beast. :bang:
