Cook Brothers Parts

Don't know whether this is of interest to the troops, but these parts are like gold. Probably have had my head in the sand and didn't know about it. Yesterday, I sold a 35 or so year old, used bottom bracket for a bundle (to me; won't say how much). Check your nooks and crannies.

DW, thanks for responding. Most of my posts don't resonate very well here. Alpha Bicycle Co located in Vista. An old friend, Chris, has owned it for about 20 or so (you know time) years. I became aware by looking on ebay and seeing two NOS stems for $1350 and $1500 and a frame for $3000. If you have the BB with the crank, could add a lot.

When I started working in a shop years ago, the owner had all kinds of NOS Cooks Bros and Bullseye parts. I saw him the other day and asked if he still had all of that stuff. He said it will pay for a vacation one of these days.

D, maybe sooner than he thinks. This was the first time that I've seen bike parts escalate outlandishly, although obviously some old parts have increased in value. I have a NOS Suntour Cyclone derailleur and Topline crank, but they're not worth much in comparison.

Does anyone remember these? Oakley actually made grips at one time.

Dusty, now that you mention it, makes sense. I sold a Slingshot frame to a guy for too much several years ago as well as some other US made parts and he was selling them in Japan.
