Convertible couch

I don’t know if this couch is salvageable but I’ve always really liked it.
I sat down on it yesterday and the spring on the left side snapped. I’m wondering if someone with a welder could fix that.

but, the wife already ordered a new couch she’s been eyeing.

we had this one since we first moved in together. So, maybe since 2014. Purchased at Costco.
It’s a nice tweed kind of fabric and folds down flat as a sleeper.

Is it worth putting out for free on Craigslist or is it toast?

I just hate the idea of it going to a land fill.

Load it onto the Bike Car of the Metrolink and walk away. It’ll be put to use in LA.

I'd prefer it not in a landfill or taking up public space.

I guess a person without scruples and a great deal of time on their hands could return a decade old couch for a refund there.

Weave a tiedown thru the spring then put enough tension on it to hold it in place, then into your mancave it goes..... .

And you wonder how I keep my 13 year old bikes running.
