A white Bronco and a gloved assailant?

From CBS News Minnesota:

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minneapolis police are issuing a warning after two apparently random attacks on four cyclists with chunks of concrete, reports CBS Minnesota.
One cyclist, Mackenzie Jensen of south Minneapolis, was seriously injured. His mother tells the station he was biking in southwest Minneapolis around 5:30 p.m. Friday when he was attacked by someone who threw a concrete block about the size of a brick.
"[It] came flying at him out of nowhere and just cracked him in the face," his mother, Kristin Jensen, told the station.
Mackenzie Jensen's jaw is wired shut and face shattered, reports the station. He'll need two permanent plates near his cheeks.
Witnesses say a man driving a white Bronco and wearing a glove hurled the concrete chunk at Jensen, according to CBS Minnesota.
A cyclist who may have been riding with Jensen suffered minor injuries, Minneapolis Police spokesman John Elderman told 48 Hours' Crimesider.
Shortly before that, Elderman said, someone riding in a vehicle of the same description threw chunks of concrete at two other cyclists in southeast Minneapolis. The cyclists were not struck and didn't sustain injuries, Elderman said.
Elderman said the cyclists were targeted apparently at random, simply because they were riding bicycles, but without a suspect in custody it's hard to say for sure what the motive may have been.
"We had four people that had cement chunks thrown at them - all four were on bicycles," Elderman told Crimesider. "That was the common denominator."
Kristin Jensen told the station she's worried the suspect will strike again.
"How could somebody do this to another human being? How could they live with themselves?" she said.
The suspect's car is described as a white or cream Ford Bronco with a possible broken window covered with wood. It's believed the driver threw the concrete with his left hand, reports the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or text the tip to CRIMES (274637) and begin the message with: TIP674. They can also call the Minneapolis police tip line at 612-692-TIPS (8477).

I don't get how anyone could be so angry about cyclist to where they premeditate the idea to cause such bodily harm to another person Along with putting this vile person in prison for attempted murder. It appears we should start banning bricks too.

This is going to turn out to be someone who just had one too many run ins with cyclists, and just snapped. The only good thing is that it sounds like his vehicle should be easily recognizable... A white Bronco with a busted window, and a left handed driver. Somebody knows who this scumbag is.

Horrible.... someone needs to do likewise to this driver - repeatedly, then put him in jail. Pre-meditated attempted murder...

And then... While looking for more information about the original post... Right in our nation's capitol.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Two cases of cyclists being attacked in broad daylight Tuesday, including one where a pregnant woman was stabbed, have cyclists throughout the district concerned about their safety.
David Cranor told WUSA9 he was riding home from work when when he tried to veer around a questionable man. Instead, he was attacked.
"He pushed me putting one hand on my shoulder and on on my back and pushed me on my back pushed me as I went by like this," Cranor said.
Cranor fell down but held onto his bike
"He got upset and started running towards me and I got on my bike and rode away as fast as I could," Cranor said.
But a pregnant woman wasn't so lucky. She was stabbed on her bike on her way home. Fortunately, she only needed stitches and her baby is OK.
The attacks have been a scary reminder for other cyclists to be on the lookout, especially considering they happened in broad daylight.
"It's definitely scary. I like to think I can bike fast enough that I can go past them, but I guess you never know," Hannah Kiem, a cyclist said.
The two attacks come weeks after a violent bike theft was caught on camera. In the video, a man can be seen getting stomped on and attacked by five suspects. This happened after they tried to steal his expensive BMX bike and he wouldn't let go.
"I've thought about getting a nicer bike, but I really don't want to because then you have to worry about someone stealing it," Kiem said.
And while some have been riding the D.C. streets for years, they admit recent attackers are becoming more aggressive, making it that much more dangerous to go out with their little ones.
