I'm doing the Non Dot Casper's race. That's the last race in this years series, and I've got a really good shot at the overall podium (mostly because most beginner's don't race an entire series -- but whatever, a podium still counts).

I'm debating about trying that one... It's home dirt for me! I'm just not sure how I'll feel after doing the Filthy 50 and the 12 Hours of Temecula.

It's low mileage compared to what you normally ride. It should be a piece of cake, even if you did a third lap for Sport.

My biggest worry is getting warmed up... I'd have to ride there in the morning. Sport? I was thinking beginner!

Beginner for the win! That's just two laps, one short and one long. Warming up was a big problem for me last year at that race, it was in the 50's and it was very chilly.

Sprint XC races are a different animal.....especially if you are used to doing longer miles.

Pegging the system at 110% for 1.5 hours when you are not used to it is rough.

I found the same thing out last year when i did the Oaks race....that is home course, but it hurt alot.

I may not have the racer mentality... I'm thinking I'll do the beginner, so the miles stay low, and that won't interfere with the 25 extra I'll get by riding there and home.
