Tom, I'll toss up Yeager Mesa because I think you have not done it yet, and the condition tomorrow will be close to epic for that trail.

Conditions are also good because fewer people are on the trails due to the forest gate closure keeping autos out. The new debris flow can be driven over, but the FS is keeping gate locked until they clear it. No issue parking at the wash or right at the gate and biking on in. It's a high-value but short-ish lolli, so if you need better value for your petrol dollar, we can tack on some extra credit.

I'm thinking you have yet to tick Los Pinos Ridge. I'd be game for that as well, but the San Juan trailhead is likely to be a zoo.

Thirdly, I'm always up for a Joplin lap. It holds up well to rain and will likewise have less traffic with the gate closure.

Have fun picking your candy, kid. No worries if CNF is not in the stars...I'll be on patrol : )

Three hairball rides worthy of calling out the Bomb Squad! I'm scared of Los Pinos, still haven't done it, but one day...with that said, now is where it's at!

I have less time than necessary to make any of @mike 's ballzy shindigs. I'm doing a local-to-me Barrett Stoddard in the early-mid afternoon. 12 mile short but sweet shuttle.

@mike, if you hit Joplin, holler at me from Ol' Saddleback!

Come on down if you're serious about Joplin : )

Today was cold and blustery on the mountain, but hikers were out in force. Very few bikes. Tomorrow the wind will diminish and temps will be 11 degrees warmer. And there is no mud to be found, just a few brown puddles. Joplin and overall conditions will be as good as it gets.

Maybe we can coax @StrandLeper out for a ceremonial popping of the cherry.

No reason to start super early.
