I am posting this for a highly qualified Paleontologist in OC:

This piano needs a good home. Willing to let it go to a good home on best offer, you move. Available immediately in Newport Beach. Needs tuning (hasn’t been tuned in years) and love.

One key has a missing ivory.

Piano stool is not included in the offer.

With no stool is it a legit dump?

Oh crap, did I think that out loud????

TFPU! I'd love to hear it after a tune.

It's kind of like a drum set – not easy to store and move. Unlike a drum set, it works for making beautiful music all by yourself. My bro made this in his house with rudimentary gear: Jeff Reichmuth – Couched.

While I jested above, the piano is an unparalleled instrument. It is said that if you can learn to play the piano, you can learn any instrument. After having taken 8 years of piano lessons, and five years of guitar, I can attest.

Not to mention the piano is one of the instruments than can evoke the deepest emotional responses - see Bach, Beethoven, Lynyrd Skynyrd......

Yes, I'm partial. Truly exceptional piano is a rarity, and hard to come by. Mostly under-appreciated, by my reckoning.

I knew you had that post in ya. Excellent.

For years when I moved, my piano moved with me. When I finally realized neither of my kids was going to play, I tried to sell it. Then I tried to donate it. Finally I had to call someone and beg them to come take it.

People just don't buy/play piano any more - particularly given the quality (and portability) of electronic keyboards. Shame. I love the sound of piano.

Yep... Same here. We eventually found a donation center willing to take it, but it wasn't easy. And they wouldn't come get it...
