I would love to but have to work 
How's school going? I'm pretty sure you're liking the area up there. My suister went to Humboldt State and she said their informal motto is; "where the men are men, and the women are too." My sis was an exception though, of course. My last trip up there I do remember seeing a lot of hairy unwashed women around town doing the 4-20
FYI - Golden Eagle is inside the forest closure area (supposedly due to the Power Station Fire). Don't know if or how diligently the closure is enforced...

There is some math involved in this epic failure of yours:
Expensive Bikes = Jobs / days worked to pay for Expensive Bikes = No RIdes on Thursdays

Oh, and Willi-D and BBJohn are correct, do be careful on Golden Eagle if you ride it. They have been up there on occasion patroling the roads...They claim it's closed due to fire which is the most lazy azzed boguus BS cuz there is no burnt area anywhere near Golden Eagle accept a 200 foot swath. Maddog and I rode it a couple of weekends ago and saw no one... rise against the Machine!!!

Josh is in the house! I will be riding hopefully on Thursday, but I would like to redirect the ride to Wrightwood if possible, and I think we can get Scottay to join us, unless you don't have the time? AT is sweeter these days, but I usually quit riding there when it gets warmer due to venomous phangs! :shock:

Damn, as much as i would love to ride Wrightwood i know i just wont have the time. Admittedly i completely forgot how ungodly hot it is down there and im thinking AT might not be a great idea. So with GE out of the picture it looks like im going to Magic Mountain. Its a lot more fun when you only ride it twice a year.
Wili-D - School is great, area is great, but when its 55 everyday and now we're starting to see spring its basically the only place you want to be. Ahh yes the humboldt women, even the cute ones will catch you off guard with those armpits. Truth be told i dont really mind. But summer is here, and that means transient pot trimmers in ... college kids out, i got a job doing soil and water conservation in Minnesota. Start on Monday so thats why only one day in SCV.
