My house heater works, but the (flame?) heat cycles off and the fan still blows.

I can manually turn the thermostat off and wait a lil while, then the heater works again.

You can hear when the flame ( gas?) cycles off and the blower still blows.

I just changed the flame sensor and the ignitor also, since I was ordering parts.

I put in a new T stat also.

Its been like this for a month or more. Any ideas? The main board maybe?

Its a York Diamond 80.

Thanks!

I had exactly this problem...simple fix was to sandpaper the flame sensor. It was dirty. Cost me $100 to have a professional do it - totally worth it (to me.)

I don't fart around with this stuff. But I've been through this a couple of times with a 23 year old system.

But if you've changed the flame sensor and it's still happening....dunno. Maybe the flame sensor isn't installed correctly or not the right part. Again, I'd spend the money on a professional.

Start there. It may end up being the board.

Thermocouple is the same thing but different....same symptoms with new Flame Sensor, so ruling that out. I did actually sand it a little before ordering a new one.
New houses are on backorder, gonna have to make due with this one for now!
Couldnt find the Fetzer for this model.....found the chingadero tho.
Good call on the pressure switch, gonna order one and make sure the vent pipes and stuff aren't too dirty or bird nested.
Some swallows did make a mud nest nearby last spring.

After that I guess its the main board.

Thanks for the help!
