Any trails....

I will be in Westlake Village Friday the 27th and spending the night. Are there any decent trails out that way ?
Just wondering if I should bring my bike.
Most definitely bring a bike! You'll have riding in most every direction from there, the closet being Los Robles. There is also Big Sycamore Canyon and some stuff above it, Wildwood Park, Cheseboro, and some stretches of the Backbone Trail.

Let us know what type of riding you'd like to do so that we can be more specific in our recommendations.

I did ride portions of the Backbone Trail about 20 years ago on a group ride.

I will be bringing my SS, because it's the only bike that will fit in my car, with someone in the passenger seat, without taking the bike apart.
I am thinking some singletrack, without too much technical stuff on Saturday

If my plans work out, Sunday I am going to try and ride Powder Canyon to Turnbull Canyon and back, if I can talk my friend into SSing it. He will probably want to do Black Star or something like that.

I live in the area and could give ya a tour on Saturday. The Encinal ride would be a good SS’ing ride. Overall we have tons of trails in this area. Chesebro Cyn and New Millenium trail are next door to Westlake, as are the other trails mentioned by @SnakeCharmer

I would stay away from Millennium for several weeks after the rain we have received. There is black clay on sections and you do not want any part of that.

The Sunday ride is pretty normal for me. If the timing is right, I'd try to tag along.

Is this shaping up to be a mini IMTB gathering?

If you're coming south, just one word. FLoop.
