With the warm weather and the gate closed on Blue Ridge Road through Mt. High, I gotta ride up high! I can ride either this Sunday or Monday. The plan is to park in Wrightwood, pedal up Blue Ridge Trail and continue east to the Acorn trail to drop back into town. 15-18 miles possible for that loop. If any of you want to volunteer an additional vehicle or two, shuttle options can open up some Jackson Lake trail options as well. So let me know if you're in, what day and if you want to tolerate a shuttle!

Since I am one who is usually in on this guess I will chime in, one of the few things that will keep me from a good ride is going to Vegas to see the best rocking live band on the planet, even still. I'll," Already Be Gone".

Well H^B, looks like you got a better offer! So "Take it Easy" and don't get burned by your "Life in the Fast Lane" or it will "Surely make you lose your mind"

Have you been to an Eagles concert? Pretty sure no one comes close to there live tightness of PURE musicianship! SONG WRITING! My opinion, but I put them a half notch below the BEATLES if that. F-ing Joe Walsh, the best hook guitar player, with treasure chest of top notch material. Always said I wouldn't pay soooooo much for a ticket, but this is there history tour, and they play for 3 hrs. They bring people out that started out with them, and play through the many years of excellence! Only bummer is no Don Felder  .

I saw them at the Forum in 1977 when they played Hotel California (with a huge orchestra behind them) two months before it was released. Went by myself because no one else I knew wanted to go. Had a great time anyway. It was Joe Walsh's first tour with the band and I was a little surprised that they played a few of his songs which made it that much better. JD Souther, and (IIRC) either Richie Furay or Chris Hillman came out and played Tequila Sunrise with a total of 6 acoustic guitars and that was pretty sweet. Yes, it was definitely one of the best concerts I have seen, but not quite at the top (for me). Saw them two more times in 1980, when Roy Orbison opened up for them.

OK, the geezer alert is probably in flames by now so I'll go back to shooing the kids off the lawn :ugeek:

okay okay, even I'M feeling "off topic" here. I think this discussion should migrate to the free zone. I've been to a concert or two.

Sorry Maddog about the post diversion!!!!

No worries Mikie! Heck, I started it with the title and lyric quotes. I just hope that H^B doesn't turn into a "Witchy Woman" after not riding for a whole 3-day weekend!
