Acorn in the Mud?

I'm gonna ride Acorn trail in Wrightwood on Monday Aug. 4 to start my last week of freedom off right before I have to go back to work :x ! Looks like a 40% chance of thunder storms up there Sunday so there could be some mud and maybe hero dirt on Monday :D I plan to leave at 9:00 a.m. from the parking lot in town between the 2 banks just off the main road. I'll probably add the Table Top loop for about 6 extra miles on the way up. Naturally all SOT options will be explored ;) ! That makes for about a 24 mile ride.

I know you guys with real jobs may be scheduled to work but if the rain does come and creates hero dirt then take a day off! Blame "altitude sickness" like I do during the school year  ! Lemme know if u can go!

Sorry Greg, I was going to join you for this ride but you pissed me of with the tea party comment so now I have to work.

Wait.....Mikie slammed the tea party; not me! I love the tea party....and tea parties too! Besides, didn't you see the Angeles Forest cam on the news? It's right up there at the top of Blue Ridge and showed rain falling at 4, 5 and 6 o'clock! Hero Dirt baby! Aren't some of you thinking you might feel a bit feverish when you wake up in the morning? Maybe a little cough? Perhaps the vapor of recently rained-upon earth and pine needles will make you feel better and ready to go to work......on Tuesday! ;)

Hah! Well, you totally missed it on THAT one HB. That was a slam on Maddog for insisting we have tea and crumpets to discuss next weekends road trip. (...and yes, I too, am a staunch Tea Party Advocate 8-) as well...)

ANYWAY, not to derail this post; I DO have an EYE PROBLEM . . . however I still can't SEE myself being there since I am taking Thursday off to carpool with the Maddog/Mad Hatter Tea and Crumpet Brigade  up to Camp Nelson...
