I came down with a bad case of "hot foot" that slowed me down just shy of half way into the ride. The next time I do rides like this, I'm slapping the flats and my Five10s.

with clip less pedals you end up rubbing the top and side of your feet when you pull up on the pedals. Gotta make sure your shoes fit well and you have them tightened down properly.
wish we coulda joined you - hung out with Tracy today and attempted AT in the heat. it was very hot!!! She is trying to get used to clip less pedals and AT was not the best place to learn.
