I bought this bike lightly used and rode it twice as shown above, then several more times with a different build aside from brakes, saddle and headset. A super fun bike for all kinds of riding. After an honest effort, I realize I can't trail ride on a hardtail without next-day consequences due to my existing back issues. Same situation as the last HT I owned in the 90s...herniated L7 demanded squish, goodbye HT.
I replaced the front tire with a 2.4 Speci Purgatory, tires set up tubeless. New chain and recent brake pads. Used Shimano SPD pedals included (the flats shown are not). Also included is a $30 geared Alternator dropout for setting the bike up with a derailleur (or chain tensioner, for whatever wacky reason).
If you're wanting to use a rear rack, you can add $15 for my Salsa rack adapter kit and Axiom seat collar (with rack attachment points) with stainless steel cap screws. That's about $30 of stuff new; they were used only to test fit my rack.
I'm in Orange County CA and happy to meet somewhere convenient. Shipping would be at buyers expense from 92688. PayPal including transaction fee.
